AION 2 Global vs Korea

Most AION 2 guides, tier lists and builds were written for the Korean client. Here is every difference we can source, and what it means before you copy one.

Updated October 12, 2026

You want

To know whether a Korean guide, build or tier list works on the global (NA/EU) servers.

This page gives you

A row-by-row comparison. Each row says whether NCSoft or a community source reports it, with the date we checked. If a value is not published, the table says so instead of guessing.

Global side checked against: Global patch Oct 7, 2026 · reviewed Oct 12, 2026.

Quick check: is this guide from the Korean client?

It shows 5 or more stigmas in a setup. Global has 4.
It has more than 5 Arcana slots, or Pendant, Brooch or Seal slots.
It includes the Brawler (권성) or a level above 45. Global has 8 classes and caps at 45.
It spends points on the Ariel, Marchutan or Yustiel Daevanion boards.
It is dated before September 30, 2026 (global Early Access) and does not say it used the global client. Guides from the September 17–18 Launch Scale Test used a test build whose values changed; guides from September 30 on may be global but predate the October 5 full launch.

If any of these is true, keep the skill and stat ideas but rebuild the setup for global limits.

What carries over, and what does not

From a Korean guide	Use on global?	Why
Skill names and what they do	Check each one	English skill names can differ from fan translations. Match each skill to the official list on the global class pages.
Stigma setup	Cut to 4	Global has 4 slots, Korea 5 since March 2026. Keep the 4 that matter for your mode (stigma guide).
Daevanion route	Partly	The first five boards share names, but Korea has three more boards (Ariel, Marchutan, Yustiel) and reported higher node values (board guide).
Arcana and accessory setup	No	Global shows 5 Arcana and hides Pendant, Brooch and Seal slots.
Tier lists and rotations	With care	They follow Korean balance patches that global has not had. See our global tier list.
Item level and combat power targets	No	Different client, different gear available. Use global targets.
Brawler / 권성 guides	No	The class is not on global.

Name differences

Korean names, as listed on the official Korean About page, map to global classes like this. Some English guides also use the internal key "Elementalist" for Spiritmaster.
